Packaging Design: Swims for De la Rosa
Client: De la Rosa, one of Mexico’s most important candy makers
Context: Identity and packaging development from scratch for Swims, one of De la Rosa’s product brands.
My role: Full project design: logo, brand character design, and packaging design, including adaptation across multiple product presentations.
The challenge: Creating a memorable identity for a candy brand within an already well-established portfolio like De la Rosa’s, and making that identity work consistently across three different packaging formats.
Process: Logo design as an ambigram, a word readable both right-side up and upside down, a detail that reinforces the brand’s playful character aimed at a young audience. From there, development of brand characters later applied across three packaging versions: individual pieces, lollipop, and Bi Swims (a package combining two flavors in one product).
Deliverables:
- Logo (ambigram)
- Brand character design
- Packaging: individual format
- Packaging: lollipop format
- Packaging: Bi Swims format
Tools: Illustrator, Photoshop
Result: A brand identity built from scratch, logo, characters, and packaging, applied consistently across three product formats, within the portfolio of one of Mexico’s largest candy companies.
