Packaging for Export: Mi Piñata

Client: De la Rosa, for export to the United States

Context: Packaging development for an assorted candy product in a large bag format, intended for the U.S. market.

My role: Design of the multi-pack (bag) and corrugated packaging (distribution box), following the corresponding export requirements.

The challenge: Meeting U.S. export regulations, which require nutrition labeling with specific data and measurements, as well as coordinating barcode delivery for client review and validation before production.

Process: Development of the multi-pack and corrugated packaging, incorporating nutrition labeling per U.S. export regulations, and delivery of the barcode for client review.

Deliverables:

  • Multi-pack packaging (bag)
  • Corrugated packaging (distribution box)
  • Nutrition labeling per export regulations
  • Barcode (delivered for client review and validation)

Tools: Illustrator, Photoshop

Result: Two-tier export packaging, compliant with U.S. nutrition labeling and coding regulations, within the portfolio of one of Mexico’s most important candy companies.
