Souvenir Design: Licensed Illustration for Crazy Shirts

Client: Crazy Shirts (United States), founded in 1964, with 35 stores across Hawaii, California, Florida, Nevada, and Colorado

Context: Crazy Shirts is known for its scented t-shirts and original printed art. I sold several illustrations under license for the brand to produce on their garments, a form of souvenir design meant for retail.

My role: Original licensed illustration, I delivered the artwork, and Crazy Shirts handled production and printing.

The challenge: Creating illustrations with real personality, versatile enough to work as textile designs, within the brand’s distinctive graphic style.

Process: Development of original illustration concepts, adjusting palette and composition for textile printing, and delivery of final artwork under a licensing agreement.
